Trekking in the South of Tunisia 4 Days / 3 Nights

EXCURSION PROGRAM

Day 01:

After breakfast, depart by ferry to Douz. Stop at Matmata to visit the troglodyte dwelling where you will be welcomed with a glass of tea, olive oil, and bread... Arrival in Douz and meeting with the camel drivers. Lunch and then follow the rhythmic steps of the camels for a hike of about 2 hours. Upon reaching the campsite, you will gather wood and light the fire with the team. Tent setup. Prepare dinner over an open fire, including the baking of traditional sandbread (bread baked in the embers). Enjoy a typical Bedouin evening around the campfire with camel drivers' songs. Dinner and overnight under the stars.

Days 02-03:

This circuit takes the form of a loop exploring the Grand Erg Oriental to reach the high dunes via water points and wells. Campsites are chosen for their scenic beauty.

Day 04:

After breakfast, continue the trek with a 2-3 hour walk. Lunch and continuation of the walk. Transfer by comfortable vehicle back to Douz and then Djerba.
